Plus Size Bridal Gowns

Posted by admin in Living With Relationships

Fortunately for full-figured women, it is now becoming easier to find bridal gowns that flatter and fit. Shops specializing in bigger bridal wear can now be found everywhere. There are still some wedding apparel stores that carry only sizes 2 to 14, but more and more shops now cater to sizes 16 to 24, and some even go up to 32!

If you know what to look for and where, you will get your hands on your dream gown in no time. But before you go and shop, read these two short but very helpful tips to keep in mind when choosing a gown.

1. Sizing can be misleading, so it’s best to try the gown on before purchasing it. Remember that most bridal gown manufacturers use European sizing, which is a couple of sizes smaller than US sizes. A size 24 on tag, for example, may actually be just a size 20. It is therefore a good idea to meticulously fit the gown – walk in it, sit in it, even dance in it.

If you have to buy online and cannot try on the gown, you should take the safe route and buy something that is two sizes bigger than your actual size. It is easier to have a bridal gown taken in than have it altered to be bigger. A bigger gown is also much more adaptable if your weight comes and goes. It will still fit you even if you gain some weight, and can be easily sewn in if you lose some pounds.

2. Call ahead before you pay the bridal store a visit. When you are preparing for a wedding, every minute is crucial. Don’t waste your time cruising through wedding gown shops that do not carry plus sizes, or do not customize special sizes of their designs. Ask all the questions you have in mind during your call. Don’t be afraid to inquire about the extra fees they may charge for plus sizes.

Aladdin Wedding Chapel of Las Vegas: Marriage Mediterranean Style

Posted by admin in Living With Relationships

Aladdin Wedding Chapel of Las Vegas will let you escape the
mundane to wed in a beautiful setting styled in Mediterranean
design. Graceful paintings of flowers and water scenes accent
the stately columns and rounded archways that set apart one of
the city’s unique additions.

It was here in 1967 that Elvis wed longtime sweetheart Priscilla
in a ceremony that lasted just minutes. Today there are two
chapels to host wedding celebrations. The Archway of Love holds
60 guests. A front altar is surrounded on the walls with heavy
wine-colored drapes. A central embroidered rug runs the length
of the floor from front to back. White, ornate pews gilded with
golden accents wait expectantly to offer guests a comfortable
seat. Garden murals, ivy-twined pillars, and wooden spindle
gates suggest a pastoral allure.

In contrast, the Sweetheart Chapel is furnished with the heavier
style of Mediterranean design pews in dark wood. Soft pastels
with plentiful pink outline a tenderly cozy room with colorful
murals and enticing latticework. The smaller chapel can
accommodate 12 guests to create an intimate environment. Desert
colors accent the classic styling to provide Old World charm to
the most contemporary romance.

The Love Me Tender package provides an Elvis impersonator to
perform your marriage ceremony in a true throwback to the King’s
era. Or you can choose the Magic Carpet Ride package for a
fantasy-based trip to the Orient for your nuptials. You can even
enter a contest for a chance at a free wedding to be held at the
Aladdin Chapel.

The adjoining hotel provides guest rooms and a casino for
before-and-after entertainment and accommodations.

You may want to practice dressing with veils and scarves to give
your wedding a true Eastern flavor, although this might be a
better idea for the bridesmaids than the bride. Or bring a few
lamps in hopes that your magical genie will appear to preside
over the ceremony.

Aladdin staff eagerly looks forward to answering your questions
and offering helpful information that can point you in the right
direction for your wedding plans. Visit the Website or get in
touch by using the contact information provided there to find
out more about the dynamic possibilities of having your nuptials
performed in an unusual, intriguing atmosphere of romance and
adventure. You can visit this chapel online at Aladdin
Wedding Chapel.
