Plumbing Tips

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

If you have ever gone camping for a weekend, you know it doesn’t take long to miss
running water, flushing toilets, clean clothes, and hot showers. These modern
conveniences are the benefits of plumbing systems. Your house has several
separate plumbing systems. Sinks, toilets, washers, bathtubs, and related fixtures.
Types of pipes for different plumbing usage may vary, from:

1. Copper

2. Plastic

3. Lead

4. Concrete

5. Steel

6. Cast iron

Plumbing is something we use every day and which most of us know little about.
Shopping for your own plumbing fixtures rather than getting them through your
plumber allows you choose from a wider selection and save money.

Most people are familiar with plumbers, who come to their home to unclog a drain
or install an appliance. When construction plumbers install piping in a house, for
example, they work from blueprints or drawings that show the planned location of
pipes, plumbing fixtures, and appliances.

Water enters your house through a pipe that connects either to a municipal water
line or a private well. Faucets, like all plumbing fixtures with moving parts, are apt
to require more repair than non-moving fixtures. The less strain you put on your
faucets, the less frequently they need repair.

If your plumbing fixtures drain slowly, the problem may be a clogged vent. This
happens when vents are improperly located and when birds or animals deposit
debris in the vent where it exits the roof.

Whatever your intended plumbing projects, the first step is to familiarize yourself
with the water system in your home. At the very least it is important to know where
to switch off the mains in case of an emergency.

Hey Wimp Don’t Honk After The Fact!

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

There’s a quirky little motoring behavior that I’m witnessing in Southern California, and it may be catching on elsewhere, that’s driving me batty.

I was pulling into my driveway this afternoon, and naturally, the car behind me had to slow down. The trash truck left my container askew, so I had to come to a complete stop while my passenger moved it out of the way, enabling me to pull in.

The driver behind me made no peep as we were doing this, but after we pulled in, she honked her horn, as if to say, “I hated having to wait!”

This is one of the brattiest showings of hostility to creep into driving since people started going just the speed limit or a little less in the carpool lanes.

Why do people wait to express their disdain?

Because they’re wimps, waiting to be past us as they do their honking, knowing that it’s improbable that we’ll chase them down and engage in reciprocal honking and other aggressive behaviors.

If you’re going to honk, do it in real time. Tell me, right now, that you’re an impatient fool.

I may not like it, but hey, it will at least be a courageous gesture, not a cheap shot.

Moreover, honks that have no immediate connection to actual offending behaviors confuse and distract other motorists. They turn this way and that, wondering if they erred, and this takes their focus away from where it should bestraight ahead.

If you look at the vehicle code, at least in California, it prohibits honking for the heck of it, or to express oneself. Honking is permitted to signal danger.

Doing it after the fact can actually create danger. One day, someone will hunt down these wimps, and respond with more than a honk; maybe with a shot aimed right at their honker!

The Future of Luxury Car Design

Posted by admin in Automobiles

When talking about the future of luxury car design, we should look towards a type of car called the concept car. These automobiles are full of future technological trends, but have not made it to the mass production lines. The reason for this is that a concept car is treated much like a model for show purposes only. This lets the public and other auto manufacturers see what a particular opposing manufacturer has in mind. The public opinion means a lot to a perspective concept car. The first auto show of the season brings out all the idea’s each manufacturer, has to offer the auto industry as well as what it can offer to the public. Starting in the fall of this year, the future luxury cars will arrive at the auto show again with all sorts of new features. The 2008 Alfa Romeo 8c Compact Coupe, with its 4.7 liter V8, 450 horsepower, and a 339 six speed transaxle w a paddle shifter, for the rear wheels. This stylish sports luxury car can reach 0-62 in 4.2 seconds. Unfortunately the United States will only receive 84 of these beautiful cars. The 2009 Audi A4 repositioned the engine directly over the front axle to prevent steering problems with the cars that have the axle to the rear of the front axle. The 2011 BMW 5 Midsize Sedan, will have even more conventional headlights, and the front end will gain 3 inches by widening the track. The height of the car will be shorter, while the length gains only a fraction of an inch. It will have 17 inch wheels and 18 and 19 inch wheels will be available as an option. The engine will have a 4.8 liter V8.The 2010 Cadillac CTC will have a beautiful coupe design, a V6 engine, and rear wheel drive. The 2010 Honda Hybrid Compact Coupe, will be an affordable hybrid/electric auto, Honda will be developing an all purpose hybrid vehicle that will sell for less than the Civic Hybrid. The 2010 Honda Stream Compact Wagon, will be tall like the Mazda 5 and the Kia Rondo, and will sell for around $18 and $23,000 here in the United States. The 2009 Kia Soul, looks like a smaller version of the Mini Cooper, having a flat roof and the shape of the windows give it a wedge look. The engine will be a 2.0 liter four cylinder and front wheel drive, a five speed automatic transmission; it has a 138 horsepower that may be improved by the time the next auto show. The control panel will no longer look like the traditional Kia panel, but will look more like a horseshoe, and will have a USB port for a possible hard drive. The 2009 Mercedes Benz S-Class Large Sedan, isn’t a full hybrid, but will be powered by a 295 horsepowered 3.5 liter V6 direct injection engine with an 8.2 horsepowered electric motor. The start/stop brake system will help with lower fuel consumption.

Choosing Calling cards – Points to be Careful

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

1. Connection fee: This is also known as Access Fee. This should be known to most of the calling card customers. This fee is charged whenever one calls to the destination. This usually varies from 5 cents to 1 dollar. The worst thing that can happen with this connection fee is, when the card buyer makes the call and either the answering machine gives a reply or the call is routed to a voice mailbox. This immediately deducts the connection fee even though the customer has not really uttered even a single word.

The best option to get over this problem is to choose a card, which has no connection fee. There are a lot of companies, which sell cards without connection fee. Before buying any Calling card, just find out the average rate per minute considering all the costs. This would definitely give a clear idea about the best option.

2. Service Fee: This is charged pro-rata to the call fee. Usually around the levels of 5 – 15%.

3. Billing increment: Also known as Minutes Rounding. If the company says it has 1 minute rounding, a call of 50 seconds will be charged for 1 minute and 200 seconds will be charged as 4 minutes. This could be a better option among all. The higher the rounding period, the more the customer loses.

4. Maintenance fee: This is a notorious, hidden fee. This gets charged on the phone card either on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. While buying the phone card itself, the customer should read the fine prints to find if there is a Maintenance fee. If at all there is this fee, this card should be chosen only if the customer is going to exhaust the card before the specified period.

5. Payphones: There are surcharges on the phone cards for the calls made from Payphones. This will be charged on the customer’s phone card irrespective of whether the call goes through or not.

6. Access Number: The billing also depends on whether one calls a local access dial in number or a toll free number. Usually a caller realizes very less number of minutes if he calls a toll free number. It is advisable calling the local dial-in number as it works out cheaper compared to the toll free number.

7. Long Talking Fee: Some phone cards charge a long talking fee if the call goes beyond a specified duration. This duration is usually around 20 minutes. It is better to know and reconnect around this period.

8. Expiration date: Most of the pre-paid calling cards have an expiration date. There can be two types of expiration dates. One is the date from which you start using the card and other one is a General expiration date for the card. One cannot use the card even if he has talk time left after any of these dates.

Moms Need Me Time

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

Moms are so busy with being a mom; they forget to take out time for themselves. Rest and Relaxation are two things for sure a mom needs to make sure they put into their daily schedule. This not only rejuvenates a mom, but also makes for a saner mom.

You know for yourself, if a mom is angry, upset, or tired, then the whole house is all in frenzy. Moms are for the most part in charge of making the house go smooth. We are either changing diapers, cooking meals, helping with homework, or spending mommy and me time with our children.

We are all about everyone else, so we must make sure to be all about us for at least 30 minutes a day.

What techniques can I do to help me give some me time?

1) Go in a quiet room and read a book or magazine.

2) Late evening, take a quiet walk in your subdivision or neighborhood.

3) Relax in your bathtub with bubble bath and votive candles lit all around the bathtub or Jacuzzi tub.

4) Work on a hobby like sewing or scrap booking.

5) Go shopping for yourself or get a manicure/pedicure.

6) Sit out on your porch swing and just collect your thoughts for the day.

7) Watch a favorite sitcom or movie on TV after the kids go to bed.

8) Call up a friend and have a nice adult conversation without kids interrupting you.

9) Write in a journal to get thoughts off your mind and clear your head for the next day.

10) Divulge in your favorite food and not feel guilty about it.

These are just some ideas to get you started on making it routine to take out some time for yourself each and everyday. You will realize how less stressful each day is. Also you are doing something for yourself and not for everybody else.

Empathising with Prospects through ‘Feel, Felt, Found’

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

How often do you speak to a prospect who says, “Oh it’s X-company,
if I’d known that I wouldn’t have bothered calling for an info
pack” or “I’m not interested in putting catalogues through
letterboxes, making cold calls, giving presentations etc. – I’m
looking for something else”

Well using the Feel, Felt, Found method you can quickly and easily get that
prospect to relate to you, get a rapport going and get them, hopefully, to
look at the opportunity properly. Try something along these lines:

I know exactly how you feel, I felt the same way my self. I thought that
X-company was just a catalogue job for people who wanted to earn a little
extra pocket
money. I had no idea that it was a proper network marketing business, or of
the kind of potential incomes people were earning. There’s no way a couple
of years ago I’d have even considered it, but after being shown the opportunity
in detail, what I found was that the reality is very different from what I
had perceived.

By empathising with them, and letting them know that you felt the same as
them, but changed your ideas after looking at your business opportunity property,
it helps them to see you in a different light. They feel that you have a shared
experience and that maybe there is something worth checking out – maybe
if they look at the opportunity in detail then they may see what they had missed
before and, like yourself, find that the reality of the business is very different
to how they had perceived it.

Feel, Felt, Found is one of the key ideas that will help you get through to
more prospects so try it yourself, practice using it in real situations and
believe it – I’m sure that most people really did perceive the
business very different before they joined than once they started sponsoring.
The best way to make it sounds natural and believable, is to really feel and
believe it yourself!

Leaders of Waiora and Other Top Network Marketing Companies Recognize a Balance of Offline and Onlin

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

“To grow a large organization in network marketing, you must have a strong Internet presence.” Myth or true? There have been three types of distributors when it comes to the Internet, the “guru’s”, the “newbies” and the “ostriches”.

In the past, as the Internet grew in popularity, there is no question that those who were talented profited from marketing on the Internet. Born were “Internet Guru’s”, those that had that talent understood the capabilities of reaching millions of people at pennies of a cost. They saw their volume bolster, customers pouring in, but their success wasn’t necessarily measured in organizational volume, but rather hits and visits on their webpages. They became instantly popular within their own company as others clamored to find out what they knew, their secrets to their Internet success. Superstars were born overnight.

Newbies are those distributors that knew a little about the Internet, knew a little about marketing and knew a little about this industry. They jumped on the bandwagon and started devoting their time and energy to Internet marketing and they failed, some miserably. Desperate distributors began paying hundreds and thousands of dollars to “experts” of web marketing only to find themselves in a pool of countless others trying to do the same and competition became fierce. Frustration took over where confidence once was home. Those that did manage to market feebly on the Internet, learned how harsh the cyber world was, words like “spam” no longer was meat in a can, and “flaming” was no longer just about Banana’s Foster.

The Ostriches are the distributors that tried to stick their head in the sand. Those rebellious distributors refused to believe the Internet was here to stay, didn’t go near it, and laughed at anyone who thought they could make a nickel from it. They believed it was just a phase, there was no place for the Internet in their business, and condemned anyone in their group from using it. Ever try to tell someone that they couldn’t do something?

What later became a realization is that the Internet should not be used as a sole means to marketing your business, gathering leads, and prospecting, but rather in conjunction with offline techniques. Whether you are a Guru who remains faceless behind websites and posts, or a Newbie that is frustrated with lack of results, or even those Ostriches who hesitate to logon and would rather get sand in their ears, each group must realize how they have short changed their own business and themselves. After coming to terms with this realization, next work on the solution. If you recognize your strengths, you can work on your weaknesses. Master those and you will be a powerful network marketer. If you go to any top leader and ask them what they do to grow a business, it will be a balanced combination of offline and online marketing. If you are unbalanced, either only doing offline or only doing online, you are missing out on so much potential growth. If you are a Guru, you already know you can build your business online. Now challenge yourself to pick up your phone and call prospects, do a three-way, build rapport with a voice, not an email. If you are a Newbie, you are more likely to understand you need to be balanced, you started there. Just go back to what you know works. Don’t abandon offline or online, just work both in balance. For Ostriches, start by seeing what others are out there doing in your company. Go to www.google.com, or www.yahoo.com or even www.msn.com and type in your Company’s name. See what pops up. Go explore. Get comfortable.

Those that enjoy solid success in Network Marketing will be masters at offline and online marketing. The bottom line is in order to take your business to the next level, become teachable to learn new techniques. Caution however against going unbalanced yet again. Remain humble. If you are a Guru, then seek the advice and help of some Ostriches in your group. Help each other. That is the beauty of our business. When you work as a team, together you can accomplish more.

Used Clothing Wholesale Business

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

While I have never wholesaled used clothing, I am aware that there is a very large market for it.

Used clothing usually is collected by charities such as your local thrift shop to national organizations such as the Salvation Army.

The purpose of their collections is usually to provide homeless and poor people with clothing.

But in reality they receive more donations than they can use. And since they have limited amounts of spacer at their disposal they need to get rid of much of the clothing that they receive.

So what happens to all the donated used clothing?

Much of it ends up in the hands of exporters.

These exporters will send the clothing by container to poorer countries in Africa and South America, where people are willing to buy used clothing.

A significant percentage of the used clothing also stays in the United States, where it is sold to lower income people who are happy to buy what is often high quality, but previously worn clothing.

Can you make selling used clothing?

It all depends on your clientele, and at the price point that you purchase the used clothing for.

Just keep in mind that as the price of new clothing continues to drop, there is less and less of a demand for used clothing.

Insightful Information about the Amazing Royal Family

Posted by admin in Travel Management

Public Obligation & Image

Personnel of the Royal Household involve themselves in several royal engagements yearly, throughout the United Kingdom, as properly documented in the Court Circular, to credit, promote & be taught about the achievements or actions of individuals, institutions & firms in a selection of sections of life. As representatives of the sovereign, they persistently join the community in remembering recorded incidents, festivals, celebratory and terrible incidences and often also sponsors or participates in certain generous, artistic and communal activities. If you are travelling to England then why not find out more about the Royal Family History at enjoyEngland.com today.

Their vacations abroad on behalf of the United Kingdom (called State Trips when the Queen publicly visits other government bodies) attracts public interest to good-natured relations within and between the Commonwealth and other nations, to British commodities and trade, & to Britain as a historical, vacation, and tourist location. Their current activities & traditional functions forms the apex of today’s “royal court,” & give a distinctly British & historical pomp to official procedures (Like that of the Trooping the Colour) & outlook to public shows (Like that of the State Parties, Royal Ascot).

Right through their lives they receive vast press exposure in the shape of picture, written and radio commentary about their activities, family contact, means of passage, personalities, clothing, actions, & public responsibilities

Royal Funds

Funds that support the Queen in the action of her responsibilities as the ruler of state of the UK comes from the Civil List. This is a return of a small portion of the proceedings from the Crown Lands that are given up by the head of state to parliament at the beginning of every reign; all Crown Land being handled by The Crown Estates, an establishment answerable to parliament. In the 2003-04 monetary year, the amount surrendered was one hundred and seventy six million pounds, where the Head of State’s expenditure was just thirty six million pounds. The Head of State’s expenditure doesn’t however encompass the fee of safety.
