Cheap Family Health Insurance – How to Protect Yourself and Your Family

Posted by admin in Insurance Management

There are many programs that offer discounted health insurance for families. You simply need to look around for them and compare them to make sure that you are getting the best deal possible. Remember that you are looking for a policy that includes yearly checkups, immunizations, and that will be there if one of your family members falls seriously ill.

There are many programs out there which offer a card that will provide reduced health care costs when presented to your health care provider. They may claim, or appear to be health insurers, but check carefully to see if they in fact are. Many discount programs are not health insurance at all, but simply discounts that your doctor may or may not accept if he or she belongs to the program and the particular need happens to be on the list of discounts.

An HMO, PPO or Fee For Service provider is usually the best way to go, because these structures offer the protection of being long standing health insurance professionals. HMO’s have typically been the most cost effective insurers because you are more limited in your choice of doctors and you need a referral to go to specialists from your primary health care provider. PPO’s can be a little more flexible, with more options as to which doctor you see. This can come in handy if you are out of state on holiday and a member of your family needs medical attention.

The important thing when seeking cheap family health insurance is to consider your family’s needs and make sure that any plan you sign up for will provide for them. Don’t get sucked in by an attractive scam, there are plenty of them out there. Make sure the company you choose has a good reputation, and read the fine print carefully. It is possible to get cheap family health insurance, you just have to keep your wits about you.

What Real Love Is

Posted by admin in Religion Stuff

We are surrounded daily by words. We read them, speak them, hear them, we categorize them, not just by meaning, but implied meaning, good or bad and of course the forbidden four letter words. If you were to count all the “forbidden” fours you would only have a handful of vulgarities that are simply throw away words in our vocabulary. But what about the four letter words that have a deeper meaning that cause our lives to be fulfilled and meaningful?

Love is one such a four letter word. The entire world understands love and its symbols around the world are endless. Even the oldest religion is based on it in. God out of a need for companionship and a wish for something to love created man thus the whole cycle began. Later Christ came and embodied love. “For God so LOVED the world” (John 3:16 emphasis mine) that he sent his son, not to strike those who were not following him, like a bully with a chip on his shoulder. But to remind His people, and all humankind that ultimately, we were made to LOVE and be loved. This purpose was not just to love those that love us back but to love everyone; even those that afflict us.

Another meaningful four letter word is Fast; not in a speed sense but in a spiritual sense. Fasting as a whole has become nothing of what it was meant to become. Women fast to jump start a diet, or to lose the last few pounds needed to get into those new jeans. Others fast to detoxify their system, drinking nothing but water to flush the impurities out. Fasting was meant to be spiritual. Fasting was not intended to be a somber, sullen faced kind of event. But a joyous event spent getting to know the One
who created us, ridding ourselves of the need to rely on anything else; thus detoxifying our lives of things that were superficial. In the Old Testament fasting is a way to atone for sins; to make a public show of the grief felt by the sinner about the particular crime. But in the New Testament Christians are instructed NOT to look somber or show that they are fasting. (Matt 6:16) Though it was fashionable to make a big deal about their self imposed fast, it is God’s wish that it be a time of private commune with him. It’s to find that place within us where Christ is the center and to let Him guide our actions.

Christ not only taught us these values of love and fasting he also practiced them. Christ leading by example, spent time in the desert fasting and strengthening His relationship with His Father. He spent His time with those that the righteous people saw as unfit. And he continued to die and rise again even for those that spurned Him. His love was not bound by the “how nice you were to me” scale. He was not limited in His love. This is the example we are to strive for as Christians. We obviously can not be perfect, but we can love. And when we struggle for that love for others, than we can fast. To commune with the one who IS love,
and who can love others through us. Who’s overflowing generosity with love can spill out, effecting all in our paths. Fasting isn’t just a depravation of food and drink of superfluous things in our lives. But fasting is a quiet, intimate date with God. Allowing Him to fill our lives with the love that He is so ready to give.

Plus Size Bridal Gowns

Posted by admin in Living With Relationships

Fortunately for full-figured women, it is now becoming easier to find bridal gowns that flatter and fit. Shops specializing in bigger bridal wear can now be found everywhere. There are still some wedding apparel stores that carry only sizes 2 to 14, but more and more shops now cater to sizes 16 to 24, and some even go up to 32!

If you know what to look for and where, you will get your hands on your dream gown in no time. But before you go and shop, read these two short but very helpful tips to keep in mind when choosing a gown.

1. Sizing can be misleading, so it’s best to try the gown on before purchasing it. Remember that most bridal gown manufacturers use European sizing, which is a couple of sizes smaller than US sizes. A size 24 on tag, for example, may actually be just a size 20. It is therefore a good idea to meticulously fit the gown – walk in it, sit in it, even dance in it.

If you have to buy online and cannot try on the gown, you should take the safe route and buy something that is two sizes bigger than your actual size. It is easier to have a bridal gown taken in than have it altered to be bigger. A bigger gown is also much more adaptable if your weight comes and goes. It will still fit you even if you gain some weight, and can be easily sewn in if you lose some pounds.

2. Call ahead before you pay the bridal store a visit. When you are preparing for a wedding, every minute is crucial. Don’t waste your time cruising through wedding gown shops that do not carry plus sizes, or do not customize special sizes of their designs. Ask all the questions you have in mind during your call. Don’t be afraid to inquire about the extra fees they may charge for plus sizes.

Massage to Help Muscles Recover

Posted by admin in Exercise

An article from Cornell shows that a massage after vigorous exercise can help reduce muscle soreness. Several other studies show that deep massage helps to make muscle injuries heal faster, improves training in athletes and relieves painful pressure points in muscles and tendons.

Athletes use muscle soreness to guide them in their training programs. Most athletes train by taking a hard workout that damages muscles enough to make them feel sore on the next day. Then the athlete takes easier workouts until the soreness goes away. When the soreness is gone, the athlete takes a harder workout again. A 30-minute massage after a hard workout lessens next-day muscle soreness and allows athletes to recover faster so they can perform more work and compete at a higher level.

Most coaches and trainers recommend massage therapy to their athletes, but many physicians are still skeptical about its health benefits. Researchers at Ball State University showed that vigorous deep massage done 21 to 29 days after severe tendon injury hastened healing. Many people suffer from pain in their muscles and tendons, and a study from Denmark showed that deep massage therapy and regular exercise help to relieve these trigger point pains, while ultrasound does not.

Nobody knows how a massage helps muscles recover faster. The massage does not make muscles stronger, but the athlete who can take more frequent workouts can build stronger muscles.

Why then do some physicians still not recommend massage therapy for their patients? One study from the University of Calgary shows that physicians, who may speak against massage, know least about how it is done and when to recommend it.

Pension Plans: Save Up For Those Greying Years

Posted by admin in Online Investment

Almost everyday we hear in the news about the deteriorating condition of our senior citizens. What is even more depressing is that most of these people who are now compelled to live an impoverished life were at one point of time quite well to do working individuals.

Then how did they all come to such a sorry state? The answer is quite simple; they did not save for a proper retirement plan. The “have it, so spend it” policy that majority of us follow is in a way leading us to the same conclusion.

You cannot even completely rely on the state funds. With the everyday newspapers being loaded with reports of gaping holes in state pension funds and its inability to take care of the longer living population, it will be foolish to not save up for those greying years.

So, if you want to look forward to a comfortable and a respectable old age start saving now. As a rule the earlier you start a pension plan, the better it is for you. If your workplace has a pension plan in place, then you must join it, as your employer will be contributing to it too.

If you are apprehensive in joining a workplace related pension scheme for the fear of losing your money should the company become insolvent, don’t be. The government has improved the member protection by means of a pension protection fund.

Don’t think that once you sign up for a pension plan, you can forget about it. Instead, you must constantly check your pensions statements to make sure it is on the right track. Do not ever hesitate from seeking professional advice or asking any number of questions about your pension plans. Pensions can be quite confusing and remember you are saving for your own good.

Besides pension plans you must look at other options of saving as well. Property, ISAs (Individual Savings Account) and even works of art should be considered as profitable investment opportunities.

Remember, a little sacrifice today will secure your future. So do not delay at all and sign up for a pension plan right away.

How Helping the Community Will Also Help Your Home Business

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

The Benefits Of Helping People In Your Community
Part One

A home-based business can be a wonderful opportunity to reach out to others in your community and create a truly well-rounded life. The more you gain expertise in your own chosen field the more you have available for others and the greater your sense of satisfaction.

Are you learning, through your home-based business, about networking? Are you finding out what excites people and what people need to have a sense of safety and well-being? These are insights that can be used in community outreach as well as in your own business.

We keep talking about the necessity for planning when starting a home business. Here is yet another way in which good planning is essential. If you are interested in being an asset to your community and putting your newly-found expertise to work for good, you must make this a part of the balance in your work/leisure life. You don’t want to give away the expertise and talent that you are depending on to build your own business, but on the other hand there is nothing like networking to benefit any beginning business.

As with anything else, it is important in this aspect to be true and honest with yourself. If you take on a community project just for the purpose of building up a customer base for yourself, it won’t work. For one thing, people will see through it and you will not generate the good will that you thought you would. It is like the old joke about the Hollywood producer who set “The important thing is sincerity – if you can fake that, you’ve got it made!” No – people, especially those in your home community, will not be fooled for long. However, if you take a while to find out what community projects attract YOU and what ones can you honestly get excited about – you will find that giving of yourself and your talent will reap rewards you have not even thought of.

In keeping track of your own home business finances are you finding out that you have a gift for numbers and a sound financial sense? You may find it rewarding to put this to use volunteering as the treasurer of the local food bank or church building project. Have you discovered areas of creativity within yourself that aren’t completely satisfied by the parameters of your business? Maybe these “left over ideas” are just what your local school needs to liven up their programs. The people you will meet under these circumstances can be the basis for associations which enrich you personally and, in the long run, build your business. When people come to know and trust you – and realize that you are not out only for the “almighty dollar” — they will be relieved and happy to refer their friends and family to you when they need what your business has to offer.

Remember – let this pro bono “for good” – work come out of your own personality and what you have discovered about the things that bring you satisfaction. Then you will never need to fake anything and the good you do will naturally flow back to you in many satisfying ways.

In part two we will explore the government, non-profit and paid services that can help you help your community as a home business owner. You can do it.

4 Tips For Buying The Perfect Fishing Boat

Posted by admin in World of Fishing

The sun is about to rise and the weather is crisp. You pack your tackle box, grab your pole and buy some worms. You make your way to the fishing dock dreaming you had the perfect fishing boat so you were landlocked no more. Now that dream can become reality with these 4 easy tips for finding and purchasing the perfect fishing boat!

Have a clear understanding of the purpose of the fishing boat. Obviously the boat is going to be used for fishing, but is it going to be used on oceans or in lakes? For day time trips or overnight stays? If you play to stay in your boat overnight, be sure to choose a boat with a hull which will allow you to ride the waves much better than a boat without one.

Make sure to have a clear understanding of your budget. Boats are very expensive items. You should be well acquainted with your finances before you take on the extra burden of a boat purchase. Boats with hulls for overnight stays and rough waters are obviously more expensive than small boats for small lakes. Know your limitations.

Read and understand the warranties fully before making a purchase. A warranty can be your best friend. Make sure the dealer you buy the boat from offers you the proper coverage in case there is any defect or problem with your boat. You don’t want to end up having to pay huge amounts to fix your boat because you forgot to check out the warranties!

Make sure the boat has proper certification .The NMMA, or the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association is an organization that tests boats that are manufactured by different companies. They only certify those boats that pass their rigorous testing. Any boat certified by the NMMA is one that you would feel safe owning.

Also, just like cars, boats must be registered. Be prepared to register your boat just like your vehicle (i.e. paying money). On top of that expense, you must now stock your boat with life jackets, brand new fishing gear, food and a cooler so you can get fishing!

Dana Goldberg is the owner of The Boats Blog. On her blog you will find tips and advice on buying or selling a boat.

Enjoy the World of Remote Operated Vehicles

A radio operated car is made up of a remote control and the motor vehicle. By turning or pushing the controls up or down & left or right, the driver has the capacity to make it go in numerous directions.

There are various different types of mock-ups out there on offer in the consumer marketplace. The entry level cars can only just about move a tiny distance. Those that yearn to witness the real deal should pay for the radio control model that has to be created and bespoke.

Remote operated toys are labelled either as electric or as nitro power-driven. The tremendous attribute regarding models that have an electric powered engine is that the battery unit is rechargeable. Remote control cars that employ fuel will have to be topped-up and also oiled after a specific period of time, which is very similar to ordinary vehicles.

These specific types of toys are frequently operated by kids & adults of mixed ages. Specific shops have cars identical to those raced in American NASCAR racing on top monster trucks that are frequently seen in the demolition derby. This clearly demonstrates that individuals can get pleasure from remote operated vehicles both on and off the road.

Do these model toys involve oodles of upkeep? Yes they do. The owner would be advised to check the battery unit, the shock absorbers and the tires on a frequent basis. This will certify that the vehicle is able to maintain its pace and efficiency each instance it’s taken to the race course.

The fan should be aware that not all of the cars components are capable of being repaired. This is because of toy firms designing their toys to work only until the mechanisms basically crack. Customers that wish to enjoy the remote control toy will either need to exchange the parts, nevertheless this on occasion can hard to purchase. Toy-Shopper.co.uk has great offers on a range of gadgets, including radio control gas cars.

Remote controlled toys do not simply apply to motor vehicles. There are also lots of planes, ships & helicopters to get hold of in the toy outlet.

Both parents & children alike who are inquisitive and have never done this prior would be advised to stick to the entry level model(s) then upgrade at some point in the future if the child is completely serious with it & wants to participate in model racing contests.

3 HOT Tips To Improve Your Ads/Flyers and Letters for Small Business Growth

Posted by admin in Business Opportunities

One of the areas that you can dramatically improve the number of leads to your small business is through effective advertising.

Right now I’ll take you through 3 HOT tips on how you can bring in more money and customers.

Here are three things you can do to improve your prospecting letters.

1. Use a benefit orientated headline, not your business name.

The biggest mistake most small businesses make is using their business name as the headline for their advertisements.

Your prospective customer isn’t interested in your business name, they want to know what you will do for them. So tell them in the headline.

A case in point is the weight loss market.

If you’d like to lose weight which headline would appeal to you more…?

“Naughton Services” (business name headline) or…

“Lose 5kgs in 7 weeks” (benefit headline)

Obviously the second headline would appeal more.

Make sure you use benefit headlines for all of your marketing pieces.

2. Take a ‘Point of YOU’ approach.

Print out each of your letters/ad/flyers and take a red pen and circle the words I, We, or Our in your letter/ad/flyer.

Now rewrite your letter using the words YOU or YOUR.

Why?

Your prospective customer doesn’t care about you. They are interested in themselves and they want you to tell them how buying from you will benefit them.

So don’t tell them about you in your ads/flyers and letters. They don’t care! Appeal to their self-interest by telling them how they will get value for money, and how they will benefit.

For example…

“I will talk about the 5 key areas that I feel are important in health”
“You will learn the 5 key important areas that will dramatically improve your health”

A general rule of thumb for any marketing piece is that for every ‘I’ or ‘We’ there should be 5 ‘You’ or ‘Your’s.

3. Ask the reader to ACT NOW!

At the end of all of your marketing pieces make sure you ask the reader to take action.

Specifically tell them to ‘pick up the phone’ or ‘visit our website’ or ‘visit our shop’.

It seems really strange to point this fact out. Yet so many businesses simply forget to tell the reader what they need to do to buy from them. And if you aren’t telling them, you’re losing sales.

Your customers are ’silently begging to be led’ so tell them how to contact you or what they need to do to buy from you. It makes a HUGE difference. Try it and see for yourself.

These three guidelines you have just read, can immediately improve the results you’re getting from your marketing.

Try them, and see if they improve your business growth.

Climber from Nepal, 76, oldest person to reach the top of Chomolungma or Mount Everest

He was reported in good health as he began making his descent. They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympics, but it was hardly spirited at all.” More than 3003 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay. With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Bahadur Sherchan noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. Andrew Brash last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.” The Chinese were flying their airplanes over the mountain and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. Further, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Min Bahadur Sherchan with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Min Bahadur Sherchan returned a hero to Calgarians. This was Bahadur Sherchan second attempt up the mountain. Andrew Brash returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of Chomolungma. “The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on the mountain. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though the mountain is shared by two countries. This year French alpinist Anthony Loeff is reporting the scales for Mount Everest after he reached the summit of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania earlier this season. They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side. As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on the Mount Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. The 76-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Chomolungma or Mount Everest. His first found him within 150 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. One year later, Bahadur Sherchan, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to Mt Everest to finish what he had started. Now that Min Bahadur Sherchan has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. Bahadur Sherchan and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism. Sherchan just 25 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa. Therefore, he was all too aware of the potential dangers the mountain could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused “Everest this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.
